First 10 days of Ramadan in UAE likely to be extremely hot

The country's humidity levels in general can go up to 80 per cent

Al Ain: Forecasters have indicated extremely hot weather in the first 10 days of Ramadan.

The high temperatures are expected all over the Arabian Peninsula, including the UAE.

It is expected to be hot, dry, and hazy in the day time, and humidity is expected to be high in the afternoon and evening.

Winds coming in from the sea can actually push humidity levels to higher rates in the coastal and some desert areas

The 10-day weather forecast for Dubai suggests clear and hot weather with the mercury hovering mostly around 40 degrees Celsius.

Mean maximum temperatures in July are typically around 41°C, and go up to 44°C.

Forecasters do not expect any rain.

Winds are likely to be light, between five to 15 km/h.

A similar forecast is expected for other coastal cities except the eastern and mountainous areas where chances of afternoon cloud exists along with occasional thunder.

The humidity levels in general can go up to 80 per cent with a mean level of 64 per cent this month in Abu Dhabi.

There will be a similar picture in Al Ain with a mean humidity level of 34 per cent while in Dubai there will be a mean humidity level of 69 per cent.

According to Dubai Meteorological Department, July is the month when local weather comes under the seasonal low monsoon effects.

Humidity can become extremely high at times producing severe stress on the human body. The combination of high temperatures and high humidity can make atmospheric conditions extremely distressing.
