Once a famous writer was walking along the sea shore  in the early morning. On the distance he saw a small  boy picking something from the ground and throwing  it  onto the sea.

The author was curious to know what  the  boy is doing. He went closer and found him picking  the star fish which were thrown out of the sea in the previous night's strom and throwing them back one at  a  time into the waters.

The author got surprised and  told the boy that how many sea shores are there in  the  world and how many star fish are thrown out of the sea  every day.

what difference does it really going to  make if a small boy doing this in one small part of  the globe. The boy did not answer anything.

He just  picked up one star fish and threw into the sea and  silently said, "It will make a difference for this  (star fish)".
